MC-707

It turns out a guy I know has one. So I've got it in the studio for a
couple of days to try it out.

I must say, I forgot how much fun a groovebox actually was. I used to
own an electribe EMX, (which I loved but due to the lack of outputs I
got rid of it) and this 707 is another step forward. I really dig the
sounds coming out of it. I've only played with the drum and tone tracks,
they're quite easy to program (with the notes I got with the unit I
didn't even bother to download the manual yet). Sequencer is also quite
adequate. Still a little bit confused about the FX. I can't seem to get
any EQ on the main out...

WIll look into this looper stuff later, seems interesting enough to
check it out.

I think this could actually be what I'm looking for, a nice jam
instrument to quickly built a basic 'song' (or scenes as for the
MC-707). Maybe not with the most variation in sound, but that can be
added in a next layer coming from the modular or the quantum or the P12.

Cheers,

ToAd

You can load presets and tweak them and then they are saved with the track for the current project, i.e there are no user banks. If you’re looking for that, get a Jupiter X/Xm.
