Yeah, on the one hand I really appreciate that they’re making classic designs accessible. But certain things from the 80ies/90ies are not really worth copying, like how Jay describes pocket calculator interfaces and ‘modes’.
Or this really constricted modulation source/dest thing from the Pro-1. It’s just artificially limiting and detracts from the usability of the synth.
On the other hand, I really appreciate the Poly-D, which copies the very nice, well thought out Minimoog interface, and adds some nifty (musical) additions/improvements.
