Exciting stuff Joost.
So, in my studio, we had the insulation, but then the drywalls were attached with spring damping mechanisms.  You are basically doing same, but I'd look into how you can have a layer before the rockwool to absorb the initial waves.

Yo Guys!
Right now I’m in the middle of the big renovation of the new (old) house. A room at the top will be the music studio. About 28m2. See attached picture (it’s next to the balcony).

The walls to the neighbours on the left & right are basically two sideways bricks, without any air in between. Say about 20 CM thick. So it would be a good idea to soundproof this room a bit, so the neighbours won’t get too bothered by loud sounds made in the studio…
I’m thinking of a simple intervention, basically placing rockwool on both the left & right side, with plasterboard in front. Should I decouple it from the wall, and if so, how?
Acoustically I might place some foam acoustic panels on top of the plaster boards, but my main goal is to reduce noise for the neighbours.
Thoughts? :)
