my GAS is acting up - anyone buy gear from Russia?

Hey Barbarians.  I'm obsessing at the moment over this drum synth:

I'm curious, have any of you folks ever bought gear from Russia?  If so
how was the experience?  Who did you ship via?

When I was last in Europe about 9 years ago they wouldn't rent us a
"nice" car if we were going anywhere close to Russia so I am nervous
about buying anything from there.
