Cheers for offers, unfortunately using 9.5 but what I have done is screen captured it.

It looks like its just a couple of patterns (phrases) its just the more noticeable ones, any idea why its doing this, could it be the instruments?

My guess? When you were moving the clips and copying them, you didn't have them snapping to the grid correctly and the start points of the clips are off.
I don't have live 9, but if you happen to still be on live 8, I could take a look at the arrangement if you like.

 Hi all

I don't talk much on the list, but I have a problem I cant get my head around with ableton.

I have a 16 bar pattern that has been written and then I copied the same pattern to different tracks and changed a little to suit instruments etc.
The first instance of the pattern plays perfectly but any further instances of that pattern start playing at on the 2nd beat not the first like the first original pattern. It doesn't matter if its just 2 playing or all 10 further instances so I don't think its lag. At first I though it was perhaps the different instruments i.e. slow melodic strings having a slower attack but with differing sounds the playback is the same. I hit play first beat the original pattern starts with a lead spot on the first beat but anything else starts sounding on the 2nd beat.
The piano roll is giving no hints to this other than a visible delay the scrolling pointer shows the note should start when its meant to but it sounds the notes with that 1 beat delay. This shows that the copied patterns haven't had the start point altered. I've checked the track delays and all is set to zero and attempts at bringing them forward with the delay does nothing. Its almost like the machine wants the notes to sound later.
The load indicator jumps about as normal but only from 15 to 35 ish so no serious loads.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I've only noticed this this morning when I started to arrange, so cant say for certain if this is new or something I haven't spotted over the past couple of weeks while writing and tweaking patterns.

Cheers

Marc
