And from a sunny, yet somewhat chilly Malta (10° C, but the door to the 
garden is open), a happy new year to you guys as well.

2015 was the year in which I decided to change jobs after 15 years with 
the same employer. That's about a third of my life, so that's a 
considerable amount of time. Sometimes you need a trigger to recognise 
the steady downward trend that you're in, and for me that came when my 
manager and colleague (and friend) of 15 years quit.

So, 2016 is likely to be a year of very hard, long yet much simpler 
work. Note: 'simple' means just doing one thing, instead of ten. It does 
not mean 'easy'. Otherwise, they wouldn't have needed to hire me. :)
