Considering that there are, like, 500+ !@&$@ new synth companies this year, that is *hardly* a surprise. :)

At first: meh. But then: oooh.
> Korg MS-20M, i really like the grittyness you can achieve with a MS-20 but have previously found it a bit limited sonically (maybe just because I haven't spent enough time with it) and I haven't really liked the physical format either. The recent demos of the new features (pwm, sync, fm) really sound nice and the desktop look is really nice.
Yeah, I love my MS20 and find it very sexy most of the time .. but the idea of a new-generation of MS20 style synthesis is very appealing.
> Arp Odyssey, wow, I've always liked the sound of it. Wish they hadn't been so conservative though, why not put in some modern stuff as well, like velocity for amp and filter. I'm on a preorder list for a Mk3.
Yeah this is just too good to be true, imho. What once was ‘dead’ is now alive and flourishing. WTF?

Well, I’ve been quite jaded about synths - and synth companies - lately, but my latest GAS is for the Eurorack revolution. I think if I had to start all over again I’d just sell all the DSP shit and go pure analog, 100% modular, and build an immense room-filling device of doom. There is just too much good stuff going on in this arena.
