Here are the Indiegogo details:

So, you pay $3,181 today but with no guarantees etc.  They say this is up to 30% lower than the estimated retail price.  If the project works out and you get your Synthex, happy days!!  But as of today, they do not have even a prototype.

If you are lucky, you get to save up to $1,247 off the final price.  If you are unlucky, you lose $3,181.

For me it just feels too early to be asking for such a big commitment..
