Just a quick update then. We went to see a specialist (friend of her
brother's) the day after we arrived, had an MRI scan on Tuesday (private
insurance, otherwise it would have taken ages) and went to see the
specialist again on Thursday. Today she had the first physiotherapy
(best friend of her brothers; you're probably noticing a trend here).
It's a small tear in her cartilage, so things could have been worse.
She's no longer using the crutches (or "clutches", as our son calls
them), but going up and down the stairs is still too ambitious.
Another disadvantage is that I'm forced to drive her in her own car, a
rather crappy 10 year old Renault Clio diesel, instead of my own,
smooth, 1 year old but unfortunately rather low Open Astra GTC turbo
petrol. We all have to make sacrifices. ;-)
Our son has proven himself an excellent little boy, helping Mummy,
chopping up vegetables, and so on.
So all in all, things could have been better, but they could have been a
lot worse as well.
