I loved it at first, then hooked it up to my modular (cv + plugged the modular in the MiniB audio in) and shit really opened up, now I find it hard to go back to just playing the minibrute by itself. I felt it really gets better with another osc, but prob a personal thing

Here's what I would do, get one of these:

Add a few euro rack modules and essentially expand the minibrute and get a bit into euro on the cheap.
