Russian Synths are a hipster trap.  There hasn't been a 'real' Russian synth made in about 30 years - almost anything you'll find on Ebay these days is a cheap Chinese clone of "Russian Synth technology", and .. well, sorry to put it this way, but most of these sound like crap.  They're ultra-cheap clones in a Russian-looking box.

So .. Be careful that you're not just buying a synth for the 'cool' factor - there was a lot of exploitation of this fact of "Russian Synths are the New 'thing'" going on 5 years ago, and since the world of synthesizers is cyclic, following the teen-adult curve, it seems we're going round this bend again.

Make sure you get at least an hour to play with it before you buy it, and convince yourself its really, really worth the money you'll spend, is all I'm saying ..
