iPad gadget for 10-year-old?

Since there are one or two people on this list that like iPads, I wondered
if some of you would have an idea of a cool Christmas present to get for
our son that somehow hooks up with his iPad Mini.

I've seen a weather station, and a music keyboard, and my wife suggested
getting him a keyboard (the Apple wireless keyboard without numeric
keypad), but I'm not really convinced.

Did any of you come across something that you think would be cool and
appropriate?
