I have been in that same situation a couple of times, also, by 
the way, because of time problems, and once because I didn't like 
how the musical style of the band was developing after a new bass 
player had joined the group. We are speaking of the eighties 
here, so it's quite some time ago.

It's a painful and brave step, but a step that we sometimes have 
to take to get our lives going.
