Paul,

yes the circuit will amplify too (powerful things opamps), however the
TL072/074 will need +/-18V... so you might have to switch the LM741,
which means 4 chips (it's a single opamp) but it should handle +/-20v.
the 800dv already has an LM741 in there (I found the schematics on the
same page).
