Paul,
the opamp is your friend :)
If you decrease R1 and R4 that will "amplify" the incoming signal.
Can I just check, what supply voltages exist inside the 800dv?
the tl074/072 will only work with upto +18 and -18, go above that and
it could destroy the chip.
