DSI Prophet 12

He might say that but I call bullshit. A lot of what he has done is tired
retread of the past. I don’t want an exact VS reissue but there is really
nothing that has recaptured the sonic possibilities of that original
instrument. As much as I love the Wavestation (I still have two of them)
the lack of analogue filters just held it back from really being a
successor.

Unlike Moog, Dave Smith has said he has no interest in recreating the past.
Features of the VS may find their way into future instruments, but he has
no interest in creating a clone.
I am glad to see someone doing something new with analog and polyphonic at
that.

But why won’t he redo the Prophet VS? That’s what I really want. Still,
it is about time someone did a proper poly.
