Tracker software?

Why not Tracker Hardware?  The Yamaha QY sequencers are trackers-in-a-box,

A good question. But I'm very visually oriented, and using what is
essentially a pattern whilst not using my eyes, is probably not going to
work for me.

Also, the synths are in a different room (on a different floor) from my PC.
The synth room/guest bedroom is not particularly suitable for staying
there, especially in summer since there's no airco. (As we speak it's 34
degrees outside.)
