The JD-990 was an excellent synth in its time. It was an expander 
version of the JD-800 - an awesome keyboard synth. I had the 
JD-990 for about 7 or 8 years, I loved it, but I got tired of the 
menu editing and sold it. Must be cool to have an iPad editor for 
it. I think the Roland JV and JD synths are still great for pads.
