Remote/cloud recording?

So I have a friend who wants to collaborate with me on some of my
tracks.  Specifically, they are going to be adding some voice lines.

The problem is that they live in New York, and I live in Chicago.

Obviously, one of us could fly to the others space, but neither of us
really wants to take on that expense at the moment.

Aside from just having her record and send me the tracks via FTP, has
anyone seen anything that allows for a collaborative process over the
web?  I just saw this video:

but It doesn't sound like their solution is available yet.  Any bar
members know of a way to pump the audio back and forth?

..or maybe I should just plan to take a weekend in NYC.
