Amazing .. 48 track recorder on iFad2

I have the same questions....but there are also some practical ones.
The screen size on an iPad is petty small relative to what you get on
a full size laptop or PC. I can't imagine trying to manage a project
with 48 tracks on one of these, particularly since they have to keep
all the design elements large enough to be manipulated with your
fingers.
Also, I thought Apple forbade programs that required external plugins
from the iOS app store? Maybe they changed that, but I seem to
remember quite a few developers complaining about it.
