MP3 Players

Guys,

 I'm needing some recommendations, I'm after an MP3 player, but it
needs to do the following;

* Play music by artists
* play music by genre
* play music by album
* search for a song/artist/album (easily)
* play music from an external USB hard disk
* handle > 10,000 albums (yeah, ok, I'm obsessed with music)
* connect to my amp (standard phono or 3.5m jack outputs)
* Stand alone (i.e. NOT run on my mac, run on it's own without a PC)
* a nice to have would be a remote control.


Any recommendations?
