Yes, its powered.  I have a battery-powered hub I often use at jams, just to avoid another cable to plug in ..

Yeah, I've been looking at the Akay Synthstation with a lot of interest lately, if I get a chance I'll go have a demo on it at the local musicshop and see if it really does fit the bill .. could be a nice solution to all the cable mess. ;)
