Apart from the ones that Tony mentioned, you could consider the Yamaha
EX5R. It's not exactly small (OK, it's huge, 3U height and quite deep as
well), but it's a good rompler, it can sample if you find one with RAM
and perhaps Flash, it has single voice acoustic modelling and two voice
analogue modelling. Plus, it has FDSP, which means that you get an
individual effects processor per note. As a rompler, it's nice, although
there are more modern and more convenient units on the market.
