Look down at your shoes.  Did you make them?  No, somebody else did.  They worked on them, all day, just for you.

Look out the window.  See that pane of glass?  Did you make it?  No, somebody else did.  They worked on it all day, just for you.

See the house you're in?  Did you make it?  No, someone else did it.  That brick in the wall was put there by someone who, possibly, had to launch themselves out of bed some day, some month, long ago, just for you.

Congratulations.  You just learned what it is that makes a civilization work.  The willingness of people to do something for each other.  Try it sometime, it makes life wonderful.
