the strength of any system is measured by it's weakest point.
The weakest point in *any* system is people.

Doesn't matter if you re-invent the internet a bazillion times, it'll be inherently insecure.

So why bother, why not do something radical with the money and the effort like say, trying to fix some of the worlds problems, like the debt crises, hunger, unempolyment and so on.

I don't understand why "humans" as a species seem obsessed with finding newer, faster and more complex ways of ruining their lives, the lives of others and the planet instead of fixing problems. It's like we're all ostriches or something... Just stick out head in the sand, ignore the REAL problems and focus on the next "gadget" or "geek" thing to do.
