Hi Andrew etc

Ah, this was a red heron. I am not actually seeing "my" purchased tracks
but rather, I can see my purchase history in my iTunes account and you can
then play a preview so I thought I was playing my local copies (duh!!)

So, in summary, from the iPad I can see zero(!) from my central music
storage.

I had a play with this. Thinking it might be just a Netgear storage issue,
I copied 1 album (AC/DC Dirty Deeds [obviously!!]) to a local D drive. I
had to turn off the usual iTunes "organise" options to allow iTunes to
reference more than one location. I was kinda expecting the iPad to then
see this one album but it does not..

Interestingly, I just setup a Windows 8 laptop with iTunes Sharing and it
worked instantly...!! The laptop can see all my central library/playlists
etc..

So, it really is just a iPad issue..

2 days and still searching.....

I love Apple...
