 Thanks for your comments.

  At the moment I honestly have no idea.

  My current thinking is this;

build the poly synth, debug the voice card and try to keep it as "modular"
as possible.
I'd *really* like this to be a keyboard, but it might end up as a rack
module (purely to save a shit load of cost on the case).
thing to bare in mind is, even as a rack version the cost of a 10 voice
poly version is like to be around £3500, in this day and age I'm not sure
people would pay that much for a synth.

If it proves popular, I'll spend a few months developing a prototype
monosynth version to show.

I'll then spend a month working costs, talking to suppliers and assembly
places, etc and then put up something as a kick starter project.
with price breaks for monophonic version and a polyphonic version.

That'll do two things;
firstly, it'll tell me which version people like and secondly give me the
required funding to build them.

but that's at least 12 months away :)
