I agree with Rolf.  If everyone had everything we would have
stagnation. We may be content, but I think our existence as humans
would be diminished.

Without adversity, where is the impetus to adapt and evolve?

Money is not the problem. The problem is greed and our base animal
instinct to accumulate.  I would argue that you would need some
equivalent in any society which was to function (I have often thought
that switching to energy units may be in the future).  You simply need
to have a way for one person to be able to compensate another person
without having to resort to barter.  Money is the universal translator
of work. It makes things like computers possible.  Think about it, if
the researchers who invented computers had to barter their service as
researchers in order to get food, how would that even work?  "If you
give me grain for my family, I will promise you 3 papers on
semi-conductor alternatives within the next quarter?".
