This is my impression from talking with them. They focused on
implementing for quality rather than quantity of algorithms or
features. They also very specifically wanted to target a price point
that didn't leave the unit only for a-list artists on world tours and
owning million dollar personal studios. Relatively, the Axe-FX is
quite cheap, particularly if you are a guitarist or a small studio,
and what having access to all of those amp and cab models would cost
you.
