You can write me down as a definite 'maybe'. Thing is, we were looking 
at coming all three of us, but that would have been prohibitively 
expensive. However, since my wife has decided to go to Paris (!) with a 
couple of female friends in autumn (and visit another old friend, who 
lives in a particularly lovely area near Compiègne), I thought I might 
as well throw in a few days in the Swedish equivalent of Eindhoven. :)

Skavsta is the one to which the only direct connection from Malta exists 
(and as luck would have it, with Ryanair). Flights should be around 
€200, which is reasonable to fly from one of end of Europe to the other 
and back.

The coaches look more expensive and take twice as long as the trains 
from Nyköping to Västeräs, so I think I'll take my chances with the 
State's Iron Roads. Little snag: the flight arrives on Thursday at 23:30...

Also, I'd have to fly back on Tuesday, which means spending the Monday 
and half of Tuesday doing... something.

Looks like €90 a night. Hmm. Any chance that anybody would want to 
share a room? Preferably not with your neighbour's teenage daughter, 
that would be difficult to explain to my wife.

Presumably, accommodation in your own house would go to the infirm 
first, which means that whilst I would be near the top of that list, it 
would not be the number one spot. ;) Plus, I can't see myself sleeping 
on an air bed or something.
