Firewire audio interface

 I used to have the same problem but in the end of the story  after a year
of doubting and asking everybody in Music bar  I took the RME fireface
400  cause I just have one ADA 8000 and it works like a charm but i must
admit the fireface 800 is one step more expensive ...

Maybe you can find RME 800 from a second hand price? ( if I were you I would
avoid ebay etc  ...)
If you are on Windows, I will avoid Motu ( i read couples of problems with
Motu and Windows drivers),
knowing that Motu dedicated his product first to Mac\apple drivers because
they ( apple and motu) work in 'team',
Presonus (Jay' lover ones ;) should give you what you want for the price you
ll pay (for mac or windows) ...
I know Mikael H has a saffire pro , he seems satisfied with it but i don t
know if he s using it with an adat connect to it ...

All in all I'm sure other Barians will give you more advices ...
