An iPhone is cool. There's even editing apps for editing your own movies and upload to Youtube for example. If you want good quality, get one of the Panasonic compacts with HD movie option (preferrably one of the ZX series). If you want really good, get the Cannon S95. Also excellent in low light (shoots RAW). But it's around €400.
