I think its different for different schools, but we for sure will be watching this one very closely. We already have a situation where Flynn asks questions and gathers insight on subjects much, much faster than other kids his age - we will not be allowing this advantage to slack, believe me.

The important thing is, Christina and I are partners on the issue. Whenever I get upset and say something like "don't do that Flynn, its dangerous!" and he doesn't get it, Christina will come along and ask "do you know why Daddy doesn't want you to do it?" and explain it to him if he doesn't. This really helps him develop his own intuition for whats going on around him - and its quite impressive how extroverted he is, sometimes, while also behaving within acceptable boundaries (goes to watch the cars on the street, stays in a safe place to watch them, etc..)
