Knobs in touch interfaces

as this is multi touch these days, Why not have knobs on the screen
and when you put your finger on one a slider appears to right, or
left, of the knob you're holding, the other knobs would dim to make it
clear what was going on.

you could edit with one hand.
Hold index finger down, use slider with middle finger, or visa-versa.
