had enough of mac, looking for new OS and laptop

Lenovo or Toshiba.  Both have extended life batteries as options.  I get
around 12 hours with mine.  Both have the best options if purchased direct
and configed via their websites.  I found the pricing wasn't better by
buying from a reseller if you want anything besides the absolute base
options.
