Get a simple portable hub.  Its worth the effort, honestly.  I have 4 USB-MIDI cables and a single USB-Audio adapter hooked up to a little portable 6-port hub on my Acer netbook, and it works just great.  Really.  You don't need the "Pro" solution here, its a ripoff.
