I know (done biology at the university), that's why I'm concerned and don't want to do something that may kill them or annoy them so much they stop reproducing. The major issue with bats is people observing them at their restplace, it can kill them in winter, or block reproduction the rest of the year. That's why serious observers have been keen at minimizing their wanderings as much as possible.
Here is one of the beasts (and the droppings) :o)
(part of the stuff in the droppings are dead wasps from the dead colonies.
