I didn't have an extensive play but the Juno 6 is the warmer of the two.
That may be down to the chorus or the filter. The HPF is a real
continuous slider as opposed to a 4 stop slider switch on the 106 which
I believe is because the 106 CPU design ran out of ability to read
another slider.
The arpeggiator is a killer and arguably the best feature of the Juno 6.
For me, the MIDI implementation and the patch storage was decisive for
mew so that's why I have a 106*.
I believe the ultimate Juno is the 60 to get the patch storage the 6
doesn't have and the DCB so you can use a MIDI to DCB converter. Just
listen to any Enya album ;)
Cheers
Chris
* To be fair it's because it cost me only 100 quid a few years back but
it did need some work done on it: a new slider, buttons replaced and a
new voice chip but I can do all that.
