And so it begins....

I had a spare hour earlier, so chopped the end off a beech branch and 
shaped the underside of a bowl. Sharp tools and the slightly spalted 
beech is a lot easier going than elm. Looks like it will end up about 4" 
diameter and I might go for 3 wood type composite bowl thingy for you.
(Elm base, western red cedar or cherry waist and the beech bowl)
Depends on the scraps in the scrap box.
