technical audio question

Hi all,

I was hoping that one of you audio gurus might know the answer to
this "problem"

A client of mine wants his audio data (voice material) delivered
as a pcm file "without the header". It will be used in some sort
of machine. The thing is that the audio including the header
seems to make click sounds, and without (they sent me examples)
there is no click. OTOH, I can not read those "beheaded" audio
files in Wavelab...

I have googled the subject, and found a couple of things, but
basically it's all long lines of code.

Does anyone know here what the client means and how I can strip
the header from a wav file?

Thanks!!!!!
