fun drummachine?

I made the mistake of recommending an mpc500 to a friend based on my
experience with its bigger brothers.  Unfortunately, the OS seems to
be riddled with bugs that seriously diminish the fun factor.  Its
really a shame

I'd say a second hand 1000 with the JJOS or an Electribe would be
great.  You can get an ER1 for $100 usd and they are great fun.
