No idea on Windows, but on Linux (and similarly OSX), its simple, one
uses JACK Patch bay, or if you just want no-fuss routing, acconnectgui
presents every USB-MIDI cable as its own independent MIDI interface, and
you can just set up a patch and leave it running seamlessly.  Works for
me, better than having to have a custom control panel bollox..

I suppose I should put all the USB-MIDI cables on their own USB
master-buss controller (i.e. no other devices on the same hub) but to be
honest I haven't noticed, audibly, any problems with my MIDI, which is
already being mastered by the QY700.

Okay, but then again I never used the patch/routing/program-save
features of my MTP-AV, which currently doesn't work with Linux.  grr.  I
*should* write the driver myself, or I could just plug these cables in
and watch the MIDI drivers on Linux all get dustbin'ed in favor of the
upgrade to class-compliant cables, anyway ..
