well, I treated myself to a K60 Development kit (http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=K60) and a Parallax Propeller kit, programmer and book, I have some ideas for that (one of the best demos is this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJcbxrdErkY, the actual SID code only uses one core).
