yea it's a balance, though I think one of the most interesting parts of electronic music is the addition of creating your own sounds. Imagine an orchestra having to create their own sounds before they sat down to play, David Lynch style :)

In interviews with Justice they say all they use is Garageband and Cubase and all their sounds come from the internal sound library, and of course samples from records. I think they are bullshitting but they do use stacks of fake Marshall amps and modular racks for their live set :)
