I have only been running the 1.5beta so don't know what previous versions
were like.
To be honest, Im still not connecting with Maschine. My drums are nearly
always audio, recorded straight from my Jomox 999, using approx 8 different
tracks (kick/snare/etc). I find I am using Maschine almost in the same way
with, recording the tracks like they are from external hardware, in a single
pass. I tried dragging the Maschine tracks as audio (a rather neat Maschine
feature) but for me its actually quicker to just record them as if they are
external hardware.
And the other thing that just makes it a little more awkward than it should
be: if you setup dummy Live Clips just to send program changes to Maschine,
you have to trigger them before the first beat. I fully understand why this
is but it just makes it slightly less integrated than I imagined.
But hey - its early days..
