Given the sheer amount of metal inside the EX5 (those 23 kilos have to 
come from somewhere), I wouldn't worry too much about it.

What you have to be careful about, though, is heat. Some equipment, 
notably laptops, can get pretty hot, and you don't want that on the 
plastic casing.
