Ummm .. PEBCAK.  You do realize that when you open a .WAV file, it is  
automatically inserted in a new Audacity Project?  i.e. you're not  
editing .WAV files in Audacity, you're importing them into your AUP  
project - which contains more info than just .WAV files.

tschk, tschk.  Disappointing.  PEBCAK!
