What will it be like in 5 years time .. just a dead controller, not  
much to do with it, very little fun to be had, unless you can (then,  
and now) instantiate the right software voodoo on a device you already  
own, to make it do something .. "useful".

It is a peripheral that costs more than the computer its designed to  
be useful with.  Utterly useless without that extra purchase.
