I've been using Eclipse + vi recently. Just can't beat vi for editing. I have a 
feeling that all the useful cross-referencing that eclipse provides could be 
done with vi if I configure it a bit.

Vi is like playing a piano - real tactile interaction with the abstract world of 
code-music.
