And the Russians are still flying the Tu-95 bomber. It's a turboprop, 
and so fast that you need a jet fighter to keep up. Probably with 
afterburner.

Weighing against it is that you don't even have to care about its size 
on the radar, because it's so damn noisy you can hear it coming from a 
great distance.
